Well, we'll be heading to the Flea Market (the world's largest, by the way!) on Sunday to try to get more signatures for the petition. If you're going to be in the area, be sure and stop by our booth and sign the petition. We need the support, and we'd love to meet some more Gunfen!

Orlando Gunfention
August 18-19, 2001

A Quick Summary of Our Adventure, By melemel
Well, the Orlando "Gunfention" was LOTS of fun:) This little get-together was the first time that Amy, Peri, and I got to meet one another, so the whole situation was interesting from the 'get-go', but it was quite fruitful, and a good time was had by all. The only thing I regret is that we didn't get more pictures! But we'll get more next time. Anyway, the three of us met in Orlando, Florida on Saturday, August 18th at around noon. We had lunch, gabbed about the LGM, and then headed back to the hotel room for a few margaritas and some plotting and planning. We talked about the letters we'd been writing, compared information, talked about campaign/fan club graphics and other ideas, and shared some of the fun stuff we've acquired from our mailouts (stickers, cool pictures, magazines, etc.). I managed to get locked in the bathroon of our hotel room (the lock on the door was broken-aaack!!), but after a little "funky poaching", the girls managed to get me out, and we continued with our previously scheduled activities:) We had a yummy sushi dinner, and hung out for a while longer, just chatting about various subjects and getting to know each other a little better, before we retired for the evening.
The next morning, we rose early, hit Denny's for breakfast (an obvious homage to the Denny's reference in the pilot ep!), and then we played in Orlando for the rest of the day. We shopped, checked out a HUGE toy store, and eventually made it to an amusement attraction called "WonderWorks," which was really fun. We had to part ways late in the afternoon in order to return to "real life", but we had a great time, and I think it was a weekend well spent. Amy and Peri were both great, and I'm very glad I got to meet them. I think I speak for all three of us when I say that we're looking forward to our future club activities. I can't wait to do something like this again!
